The Sunshine Coast fo BC is NOT and Island

When we are not at home on the Sunshine Coast but rather in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland we are often asked the question.... 'How are things on the Island?'. We are here to answer that question now and share with you that The Sunshine Coast is not an Island, it is actually a part of the Mainland. It confuses some people because most people get from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale on the Sunshine Coast via ferry thus leaving people to believe we are on an Island.
The Sunshine Coast is located northwest of Greater Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. The Sunshine Coast is accessible only by sea with the BC Ferries or private boat, or air via float plane or planes that fly into the local airport, or a six day expert hike from Squamish! Being on the Sunshine Coast gives you that 'far away from the cares of the world' feel, yet it is within an hour of a major metropolitan centre. The Sunshine Coast has a rich colourful heritage and a bright future as people of all walks of life move here to join us in this paradise.
