Think of this, it is common in the lower mainland to reside out in Surrey, White Rock, Abbottsford, Langley, Maple Ridge, West Vancouver, North Vancouver and beyond and commute to somewhere near downtown Vancouver to go to work each day. What is that like? You sit or inch along in traffic with the rest of the commuters for 1 to maybe 2 hours each day, each way, some people say even longer. Sometimes commuters are thinking, there just has to be another way. If you are one of the hundreds upon hundreds of people that do this each day, you know what we mean.
There is another way. What does it look like to commute from the Sunshine Coast to Vancouver to work each day? Well, you drive from home to the ferry terminal, park your car, walk on the ferry, go upstairs have a coffee and chat to fellow commuters or work at the computer stations on your computer or simply sit back close your eyes and enjoy a cat nap. Once off of the boat you can take the bus to work or use the commuter van system. Or, you take your own car on the ferry, sleep or go upstairs for a coffee. All the while, you are travelling on the BC Ferries on one of the most beautiful, scenic routes. It is absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. The captain takes care of your 40 minute trip from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay and you relax and enjoy the ride.
